Chapter 719 in "Brynn Fangirls Jeffrey Foucault, and So Should You."

So. I was listening to Jeffrey Foucault's "Stripping Cane" last night in the car, as I do, and it occurred to me that the song I'm currently obsessed with, "Northbound 35," absolutely MUST be made into a vid. At first I was thinking of it for Veronica Mars, and then I realized that it's utterly perfect for Brokeback Mountain, and then I realized ( Read more... )

I haven't seen Brokeback Mountain, but that seems like an awfully good vid for it. Sometimes you have to go for the obvious.

The style of the song is certainly perfect. So, first of all, you should see the movie. And I'm planning to buy it when it comes out on DVD, so then you can vid it! And we will continue to contribute to Jeffrey Foucault's subtle takeover of the world! Everyone wins!

I also realize I still have no JF icon, because I never thought of text for it. What do you think of "all that midnight wonder"? I seriously thought about this for, like, 20 minutes last night while I was stuck in traffic on I-90.

Yes I should see the movie. I think it might have to wait for DVD though.

And we will continue to contribute to Jeffrey Foucault's subtle takeover of the world!

Yay! He will be a benevolent ruler. Or a poetic one at least.

What do you think of "all that midnight wonder"?

I think it's good as long as you like it. It is your icon.

I totally agree with you on the Jeffrey...but hey, since when is "fangirl" a verb?!?! :) I don't know if Byron would have approved...

Considering that Byron was fangirled by many, I think he would be fine with it. ;)

Hee, but if you gang up on SDW, you can always force her to do *exactly* what you want, 'cause, like, you could hold Oliver hostage or something. ;D

I have to say, the lyrics have me completely intrigued. And I agree with SDW, sometimes perfect is just that. I mean, think of this way, it could be a retelling (with all the added emotion that distilling it down to a few minutes usually does) for the movie for people who've never seen it, and for the people that really loved it.

I'm still in the former category. ;)
