Seattle IIHY is beyond awesome! :D :D :D

He commanded us to do body rolls during IIHY. And sing at the same time! I failed. But I jumped my damnedest and my arms were ready to fall off (thank you, anonymous guy behind me, for being so very tolerant of my flailing.)

like here he is, this otherworldly S&M mad hatter leading you down the rabbit hole and into his rainbow sparkly forest orgy dance party

Yes! This was exactly what was going through my head when Voodoo came on. Plus "dear God, he's SO tall! Thank you, God"

I'm sorry you didn't have a good view. Mine also sucked. I was so stupid and didn't check out different spots when I had the chance. I should have drifted closer to the center (wherever that was - damn trapezoid ballroom), with the cute gay boys. And not off to the right side, with all the tall people. In hindsight, I had pretty decent neighbors almost all around.

So I didn't see much of Allison except her head. I was thankful Adam seemed to use the staircase a bit more than usual. And it took me until Fever to realize Tommy was missing because again, couldn't see that side at all.

Our crowd was also high energy, lots of love and rocking out. Also pretty chill, and almost too tolerant of rude people trying to hustle their way forward. I could have totally reserved a space to get some water and go to the restroom during Orianthi's neverending set.

We were squeezed worse than sardines. Body rolls, really Adam?!? Always the optimist, hee.

Especially when the man himself is clearly SO THRILLED to be there.

This is one of the things that slays me about Adam. The JOY and delight, the getting off on it, the delightful sharing of his joy. Plus he's such a glittery hippie about it all.

I couldn't observe Allison very much because the crowd got really tight at that point. (btw, for some magical reason my spot acquired a tiny bit more breathing room during Adam's set. I think the line jumper got pushed out, gently, but firmly.) What I did see of Allison blew me away, although she did seem a bit tired. And the sound mix wasn't right for her, I think. Dave/Allison is so adorable and FUN, it kills me. I still wonder if she's not a figment of our imagination.

I was also very disappointed Orianthi got more response than Allison. WTF!!!!!!!
Maybe people's collective brains were fried from tension and lack of a/c.

Eeep, I'm sorry I invaded YOUR post with rambly thoughts about my concert.

I wish you good luck at the fair!

AHAHAHAHAHA. AWESOME.

Awww, YAY. And yeah, our crowd was pretty tolerant of the rude people, too, but fortunately the rude people were few and far between, so it worked out okay--I was fearing a much less pleasant ratio.

The JOY and delight, the getting off on it, the delightful sharing of his joy. Plus he's such a glittery hippie about it all.

YES. TOTALLY. S&M flower child, what is THAT? Heee.

I was also very disappointed Orianthi got more response than Allison.

*GASP* NOES. Portland! WTF?! (Orianthi is an awesome guitarist, but I'm not a huge fan of her voice. Apparently she and Alli are going to be doing DWTP on SYTYCD this week? I'm looking forward to THAT.)

And NEVER apologize for sharing your squee! I love the squee! That's why I'm here! ♥ ♥ ♥
