So I FINALLY had the chance to watch the "leaked" four episodes of Flashpoint this weekend (I was waiting for troyswann! Okay, not really, I was waiting to finish my DSSS because Hugh is REALLY DISTRACTING, though the recent bout of Flu on my f-list made my attempts at virtue sort of in vain--is there a lesson there? But Sal was here and I'm glad I waited ( Read more... )

ED. And GREG. AND ED AND GREG. I loved that episode so much, Brynn, you don't even know. I mean, yeah there was some stupid, but all the AWESOME made up for it. (Huuuugh.) That is how manpain is DONE, people.

(My only other peeve is still not knowing anything about Lewis. A whole season and Lewis gets no character details at all. Boo.)

Yes! It didn't beat you over the head, it was just THERE, and the performances held it up, and I was so very very impressed. \flashpoint/

I know, that is VERY strange. At least I like the new female cop they've introduced--Kira? But yeah, even she's gotten more to do than Lewis! It's so weird!

Nos and I think Kira should totes replace Sam on the team. *nod*

Lewis' job just seems to be hanging in the truck and/or around Spike (ION: I AND HEARTS Spike kind of a lot.) Lewis needs an episode! Or at least a personality. >:( Let's cut Sam/Jules time in favour of him.

But otherwise, \show/. The guests are consistently good, too. So, go those guys.

Oooh, yes! I really like that idea! Except Kira is unqualified to be The Toolish One, which seems to be Sam's role (both intentionally and unintentionally on the writers' part).

Lewis does need an episode! But Spike. OH MY GOD I LOVE YOU SPIKE. I am so pleased that he's getting more stuff to do--he was SO ADORABLE in the Colm Feore/Wendy Crewson ep, it made me SO HAPPY.

And yes, you're right--they get excellent guest stars (much like DS, I often think). Which makes a HUGE difference on a show like that.

But she can definitely fill the blonde rookie spot ably! And she might be a bit of a tool. You never know!

I love Spike to bits. I mean, ADORABLE and then he's a chemistry dork. I can't fight that. Maybe when we know more about Lewis we can smoosh them together. I have a feeling!

I know! I saw a short video that introduced the characters on some website before the show even premiered, and for some reason (probably the geek factor) that made me adore Spike unreasonably from that point onward, so every time he gets stuff to do, it makes me disproportionately happy. He's so dorky, and funny, and earnest, and AWWWWW!

And yes. I suspect there could be Spike/Lewis smooshage!

Plus! Spike has a ROBOT. How can you not love a cute dork with a bombstopping robot?

Right?! Clearly he could take over the world, but he uses his powers for good.
