Does HCL not rock when it is embiggened? \o/ That is TWICE now I have seen the rilly rilly big hotness on screen, unless you count the times I watched it on my stepdad ginormous home theatre. *wins*

HOWEVER: the sing-along version was the BEST. Can't beat it.

Also: Billy Tallent makes me want to lick the screen.

Also someone brought up (regrettably, toward the end, when we didn't have time to really explore it) that we should discuss the concepts/definitions of "success" (and the tension between artistic and commercial success) as they're used in both S&A and Hard Core Logo, and I kind of had to sit down because OMG, S&A and HCL, HOT. There was actually a stunned silence in the room as we all pondered the hotness of it. (Someone should write that essay. I would probably swoon.)

oh, and hey! the big picture! i looked in to it for my wedding, and it's really not THAT expensive to rent. we'd have to charge AN AWFUL LOT to recoup all costs, but surely fangrrls could be persuaded?

*smishes you lots* I will tell you, the ONLY thing contributing to my post-con therapy is the knowledge that YOU are here, and greensilver will be here soon, so I actually get to still hang out with SOME of the new fangirls I met and loved!

And re: the Big Picture: is that the one with the champagne-bucket popcorn? Because that one looks nice, but I also think there's another cheaper one somewhere; no champagne-bucket popcorn, but we could make do. :) I seem to remember thinking if we could get 15-20 fangirls together, it would only cost us 10-15 bucks each. And of course we'd have to vote on what to watch, since not everyone is as crazynuts about HCL as I am (possibly because they have not experienced it in SING-ALONG format). But it would be super-fun! sdwolfpup and I were talking about it last year--have a picnic potluck lunch somewhere and then rent out a theater for 4-6 hours and watch vids or whatever. We should try to get that together this summer!

yes, the big picture is the one with champagne bucket popcorn. cheaper would be GREAT. and, honestly, i think you could interest enough people in HCL to pay for it!!! it's a fabulous movie...even NON-FANGRRLS THINK SO. and vids would be fun, too, OMG. let's make this happen, okay?
