Different Diagnosis
Today you can see a marked difference in David, Thankfully!
For a start he was kept hydrated through the evening which obviously made a huge difference. Also the doctors weren't happy with his progress / decline and decided to take another look (closer look) at David's CT scan. It turns out that his inflamed pancreas is a secondary symptom of untreated appendicitis. The theory is that when he first fell ill 3 weeks ago it was appendicitis and because it went untreated this caused the pancreas to become inflamed. So they now have him on antibiotics and just before I left this evening they suggested he started trying fluids and see how that went. What a difference a day makes eh? He's still very ill but improving.
While relieved, I'm also beginning to panic and totally stress out. I'm really not sure how I'm going to cope with visits to the hospital and with the Food Festival at the same time. At the moment i'm panicking that I'm soooo not ready for it and I'm really not sure whether I can fit it all in. Tomorrow is going to be a very early morning!
