It's been a fun few days. I've been to see friends in (gasp) north London, which was lovely. And I also went to the Proms for the first time in my unmusical life - not at the Albert Hall in this case, but at Cadogan Hall, which is a really interesting ex-church just off Sloane Square. Pictures of the inside aren't allowed, but the Hall isn't as fun as the windows on the stairs... Concert was fun too - an hour of Argentine guitar. I'm going to the real thing next week if all goes well, for a much more full-on experience which I suspect will finish my impulse to get into London's music this weird year. But worth an experiment.
21. What is the last thing you cooked?
Prawn and sweetcorn fritters, a la Ottolenghi Simple. It's a good quick post-work dish, until you have to wash up the blender. But all good.
22. If you could live in a fictional world, which would it be?
Probably the Vorkosigans, so long as I can stay on Beta Colony and go nowhere near Jackson's Hole.
23. Where was the farthest you’ve ever traveled from home?
Not far, given I've never left Europe. In the words of the twitter meme at the moment:
North: Stockholm
South: Seville (well, Malaga, but only for the airport)
West: Belfast (I think, unless it's Penzance - approximating by google maps)
East: Vienna (or, uh, Stockholm, which goes to show how dumb dissecting the globe into a flat thing is)
24. Have you ever slammed the door when you were mad?
Not lately. I probably did when being a stroppy kid, but I can't call anything much to mind.
25. How old were you when you met your first love?
26. Were your college years the best years of your life?
27. What’s the most relaxing thing you did today?
28. What do you usually drink with breakfast?
29. How many closets does your house have?
30. What year is your car?
31. What’s the largest animal you’ve ever had as a pet?
