The ongoing sameness of everything remains a barrier to journaling. But I'm fine, and here are some answers.
22. Do you have a preference on name brand vs store brand?
I tend to be name brand, apart from posh store brand (Taste the Difference and scuh). I am a fool for marketing. I also really hate shitty cheap knockoffs. It's often hard to tell which you'll get, without conducting extensive tests. So, branded it is.
23. Preferred water temperature for showering?
About 40 degrees. My not-really-new-any-more bathroom has a thing that sticks at 38 so you know where you're into Hot. But I tend to like it slightly over.
24. What was the size of your high school?
That depends *a lot* which year I was there, as my local education authority was in the throes of a major change. When I joined there were three GCSE-type years plus the older A level students as 6th form was being phased out. 8 classes of about 32 students each per year, call it 750 for the three years in place, plus a scatter of A levels. Then the A levellers qualified, and another year, ultimately another two years, were added below to make it an 11-16 school. Those years only had 5 classes per year (we had to invent a fifth school house dagnabbit. Westside. There was already a Southside. Poor show). So... Under a thousand, any way you slice it. And, as you can tell, deliriously confusing to outsiders. (My 6th form had about 400 people per year, probably still under 1000 though the people doing nothing but GCSE retakes complicated the counting as I think they may have been in a separate 'year'.)
25. What's an opinion you held for a long time that you no longer hold?
Adults know what they are doing. Nobody does. Competence is a myth or an act, at least 70% of the time. If you meet someone who really does know how to do a thing, cling to them.
26. What is the most frivolous item you own? (No purpose or value)
Right now? A 2 ft high Astroturf cutout bunny, with a fluffy white tail, hanging on my living room wall (along with a garland of carrots, and some rather more tasteful bunny bunting, easter egg cutouts and chick toys). I was bored. It's spring, if not yet actual Easter. Let us frivol.
27. Have you ever failed a class?
I failed everything the year I was 11, when I got either depression, adolescence or ME, and couldn't cope with thinking at all. I hid at home, watching TV, and causing my parents to worry A Lot. I went back to school maybe half time the following year and passed everything with As. *shrug* It taught me an important lesson about how situational intelligence is, but it took me about 20 years to spot that.
28. Do you have a certain way you have to sleep? (Covered, not covered, with or without noise etc)
29. Do you manage your time well?
30. What was the last book you read?
31. What would you do if you became immortal?
