Wooooof, that's been quite an intense week. I had a lot of walking stuff over to my folks, due to prescription issues, but things are sorted now. I am spending the weekend in yoga and culture, I reckon.
15 It’s income tax day in the U.S. What do you enjoy the most that your tax dollars provide for society?
Well, at the moment I'm pretty keen on a national health service, even if it's not perfect. And don't knock roads, rubbish collection and security. The part I most enjoy is state support for a range of arts and heritage, though I hope I give back quite a lot too (especially at the moment). But let's face it, I'm a public servant. My tax dollars pay a fraction of my own salary, which is recursive but true. And without that, I'm in trouble.
16 What three features would be non-negotiable in your dream house?
The same as the features I want if I ever move flats - a door on the kitchen (ie it's big enough to close off); a window in the bathroom (less condensation); a manageable but real outside space (doesn't need to be fancy, a balcony with some herb pots would be sanity saving right now). I don't really want a massive complicated house for one person, or even two. But there are things that would make life better. (And I'd want a little more storage, and much less possibility of mice. Hey ho.)
17 What’s a trait you admire in other people that, if you’re honest, you also have? (And by all rights should admire it about yourself!)
I really like people who manage under pressure. I am a natural panicker (high adrenalin, lack of sleep), so I don't think of myself as that. BUT I am actually quite good at planning my way out of things.
I've found some of the stuff I organised and bought for myself in the two weekdays when I wasn't working before lockdown have been 100% valuable. And that's even though I was completely scattered at the time and thought I was acting like an idiot. It's things like a mattress shield (as I need to replace my mattress but can't currently get rid of the old one and don't have space); a new tablet and phone so I've got much better connectivity; noise cancelling headphones; a yoga block (phew); extra sofa cushions; some useful spices; extra kitchen storage as I've not got space for spare dry goods; etc. And also setting up my home office in the space of about 10 minutes, as soon as I got home for lockdown. I'd organised a timetable for myself beforehand too, starting with 7.30 yoga. It was a solid decision and it helped set the tone for everything that followed.

23 Again, fair folk, the day has come to speak
As if the Bard had writ the words for you.
But if blank verse sits not upon thy lips,
Then grace us with your thoughts about his plays.
Happy Talk Like Shakespeare Day! If speaking in blank verse all day is impractical for you, just tell us which of Shakespeare’s plays is your favorite and why.
24 Do you have what you consider to be a good habit, but is one that likely annoys other people?
