Flood help auction
It feels a little odd to be playing favourites in supporting flood victims. God knows there is need all over the place. But I've seen a lot of support for Queensland already, and I wanted to share the fandom love a little. I've put in an offer at helpbrazil2011 to write fanfic 500-5000 words* in Jossverse or Discworld. Any characters you like (shapinglight has just asked me for Giles/Dru, after all...) A winning bid of $5 gets you a ficlet - more words available for higher winning bids. At present, funds will go to UNICEF, but more charities may well be available by the time the auction closes at the end of the month.
This is the first time I've done this, and I'm oddly nervous. *g* If you can spare the cash, please bid, on me or on any of the other offers. Or for Queensland, and I'm sure there will be Sri Lanka appeals soon. What a month.
(*As you know, I have issues with minimum word counts, so you may well end up with two or more shorter fics if you bid high.)
