Geeking Out With My 20-Sider Out

I've been wanting to get back into an RPG recently. I don't know why, but I've been hankering for some old-fashioned Dungeons & Dragons in particular. I guess I'm just so damn comfortable with the rules. I wouldn't mind running a game myself just because I always have a lot of ideas floating around my head that could be turned into fun adventures or interesting NPCSs, and I like the ability to control a lot of characters at once instead of controlling one single character. I also like implementing house rules. There are always little odds and ends I like to change about the rules to make the game a little more fun, more balanced, and more manageable.

Unfortunately, it's hard to get people together for regular sessions. I've tried PBEM games before, but those just aren't the same as being with a bunch of people arguing over rules at a table while kicking the snot out of bugbears and coming out of the battle with sacks of loot.

If anyone in the Maryland area is interested in getting back into an RPG session, leave a comment. If location is a problem, I have a basement with privacy and big, fold-out card table that would work.
