Denver Details

So it's my second day in the wonderful city of Denver. And I must say, thus far I'm having quite the love affair with this place. Yesterday I went to the botanical gardens. Simply beautiful! I loved the juxtaposition of colors and designs. It's nice to know that such a bustling city has little pearls of nature scattered throughout. After that I rested at the park and did a bit of reading. Then I walked back to the hotel. Around five I set out again for Wazee's Supper Club. They have the best veggie burger to ever touch my lips! I almost had an orgasm right there in front of everybody. After that I came back to the hotel and stayed in for the night.

Today I was up around 8 (they're an hour "behind" here) set out for a delicious hotel breakfast. Afterward my belly said "namaste" and I heartily agreed. Then I set out for the Black American Western Museum. I was pleasantly shocked at the wisdom that was dropped on me. Did you know that there were black cowboys? Many of whom invented several rodeo techniques. There was so much information to absorb. Afterward my soul said "namaste" and I heartily agreed. SAY IT LOUD! I'M BLACK AND I'M PROUD!

After that I went to the Denver Art Museum where I was nearly brought to tears by some of the beautiful, exquisite art pieces they had there. I spent two hours and thrity minutes there and was well sated. Afterward my mind said "namaste" and I heartily agreed.

It's really odd that I seem to know my way around here, or that I can find the main route. I don't know if it's because I've looked at the map so many times that my brain has retained it without my knowledge, or if the city is "helping me." Laugh, but that's the way it feels.

70% of the males here are attractive. 70%. Once more, 70%. I'd say that only 10% of the people I've seen thus far are obese. Probably because you can walk everywhere. I love love love downtown.

The people here seem nice. I asked a lady if I was heading in the right direction for a certain street and she was friendly enough. People don't smile here as much as they do in the south, but they aren't downright rude either. 'S wonderful.

I'm temped too...no. Can't do that. I was going to stay I'm tempted to STAY AND NOT COME HOME but I can't. That would just be irresponsibe and dumb as hell to boot.

Even though I'm here by myself I find that I'm at ease in this environment. It's what I've yearned for since high school.

Peace. Out.

P.S. I think you can smoke weed PUBLICALLY in some areas and not get in trouble...either that or the people I saw weren't worried about 5-0...and the weed that I smelled in the park might have been something else!
