LJ Archive.... is that... an LJ backup service? If I decide to get out at any point, I want to make sure my entries are all saveable and I have NO CLUE how to do that.

Yes. Try clicking my How to Leave links. They give you both ways to back up and ways to move 100% of your entries to any sister site (like GJ or IJ).

I was going to stay as long as Brad was around because I like and respect Brad both as a dude and a computer guy. But if he's bailing, then it may be time to jump ship as well. Not that I generally take a lot of stock in ValleyWag, but still.
