Update from the land of fweee flurbit glidglefkd__#!
Met someone the other day who thought Austen (Jane, not Stone Cold Steve) was boring. Said she didn't care about “all that stuff.” I guess if you think the point of Austen is teas and balls, then yes, she would be very boring. But seriously, IDEK. (This was someone in an ENGLISH PROGRAM.) She also thought Margaret Atwood was tedious, though, so not entirely wrong-headed.
Someone bought me two months of paid time on d_w! You know what this means? Lots of pointless polls. Dear someone, I hope you weren't expecting fic production? My fic fu is closed for repairs atm.
While attempting to evade real life, I watched three seasons of Psych. I have thoughts, and could probably do a post on it, but after I watched all the shows, I then set out to read all the fic. There's a seemingly disproportionately large cross-over body of work, (Dear Psych-fic writers: your fandom does not successfully cross-over with Criminal Minds. Deal.) and there's a totally creepy thing where when Psych crosses over with another show that has And The Black Guy character, someone in the fic will be like “Hey, you resemble Gus! Because you're both Black! Get it!?”

I plan to begin xposting my book reviews to d_w (from where the x-poster will take care of posting it to lj) if I ever review books again. If no one can think of a reason I shouldn't?
