This is the End......

This is the end, beautiful friend,
This is the end, my only friend, the end,
Of our elaborate plans, the end,
Of everything that stands, the end,
No safety or surprise, the end,
You'll never look into my eyes again.........

Oh boy, what a great song, huh? The Doors, great classic music. But anyways, yeah, you wouldn't really think I'd put lyrics in here if they had no significance, do you? Yeah, so, let's get right into it. Over the past few months, I've lost so many of my "close" friends, and to be perfectly honest, I couldn't really care less. Now, let me guess, "Oh Bourassa, if you didn't care, you wouldn't be writing this", right? You're wrong, I'm just doing this to get it off my chest, and to let people know I don't give a fuck, so if you think otherwise, too bad. Yeah, senior year has had a huge effect on me, and I can honestly say I like it. With graduation approaching, we all know that friends won't be the same after we leave. So, why wait until graduation to end it? The first one is Krysten. Even after we broke up, we stayed pretty close, always hanging out and whatnot. But, let's face it, we wouldn't be friends after college, so, I just let everything out that I was feeling and if it hurt her, oh well. Not my problem, I guess. Granted, she was one of my friends that supported me, but she was such a bitch, and I didn't want to deal with it anymore. Always talking shit about me behind my back and whatnot. So, I basically said "Fuck It", I won't waste my effort on it. Then, we come to Kathy. Wow, everyone knows how close we used to be. Hell, people actually thougt we were going out for a long time too. Then, we slowly drifted apart, and it wouldn't have lasted, so once again, I said what I truly thought, and that was it. Another friend who I thought I could count on, but when it came to her boyfriend, I wasn't good enough for her. Oh well, once again, I said "Fuck It", and that was the end of it. My friends of the class of 2003, yeah, I still love them, but, most of which, I'm not nearly as close to as I used to be. But, we're still friends, so that's different than the other ones. Next, we come to Sarin. OH BOY! Wow, we used to be close, way back when we liked each other, well, when I liked her, and she "liked" me. We used to talk all the time, and all that good stuff, but then we went out, stayed friends, went out again, stayed friends, went out for a thrid time, and we weren't really friends after that. Everytime we broke up, we'd drift further apart. Personally, I think the only reason we went out three times, is that fact that she wanted a boyfriend, and I liked her, so she took advantage, but that's just me. Yeah, but after we broke up on July 2nd (yes, sad I remember the date, huh?), we didn't talk for like two months. Then when we did start talking, it seemed like there were only two reasons as why we still talked, one being the Senior Semi. Yeah, this was one friend who never really supported me, never really backed me up, never really did anything for me. Too bad I was too much of a sucker to realize "Oh wait, why bother?", but oh well. That's what happens when you're blinded by love I guess. So many friends lost, yet, it doesn't really effect me. As long as I have Dave, Bill and Kait, I'm perfectly fine. Once again, they are, and forever will be, a huge part of my life and I couldn't be happier. Also, with the friends I've lost, I've gained. Jackie, Amy, and Bergz, they've all become good friends to me lately, and I'm glad their in my life now, and I counted be happier. Friends who actually support me, who would've guessed?

People say I've changed. And you know what? I have, but I don't necessarily see it as a bad change. See, so many people are trapped in this little bubble that is Millbury, and don't realize what's going to happen when we all start college. See, I'm preparing myself for what I need to be when I enter the real world. If it means I've changed for the worse in your eyes, oh well. But, I know what I have to do, so, I think I'm going to be fine later on in life. I know I should be living for the present, and not look to the future, but you know what? How long have I lived for the present? I think it's time I started preparing for the future. If I'm wrong, then I'll have to deal with that. I have my friends who will stand by me, and help me through it, and not tell me how I'm a bad person and whatnot. See, a friend doesn't tell you what's wrong in your life so you can change it, they tell you what's wrong, then they help you through it.
