Here it is, 2004......

Jan 25, 2004 18:28

Yeah, I was reading someone's journal, and I looked at the date, and it said 2004. "Wow, no shit Bourassa", right? Well, this was the first time it's actually hit me hard that this is it, there's no more MHS after this, no more of the way it used it to be. I keep thinking of the old times I used to have with my boys, and wanting it to be the way it used to. But, the reality is, it's not the old days, nor will it ever be again, so one must move on, stop living in the past, and realize what we got right in front of us. I know when I go to college, I won't talk to many of you, nor will I try to keep a small friendship that we know won't work out. I do know, however, that when college comes, I will be able to rely on my friends, the true ones, who have stuck by me through everything, and who have always had my back. The ones who have been there when I needed a shoulder to cry on*, the ones who have been there to share all the laughs, the ones who have stayed with me through all the fights and fiascos, the ones who I can say I truly love. Time for that special trip down memory lane, that only a few can say they can take with me:

Bill and Dave: Wow, so many memories, where to start? I guess we start where it all began. Every monday night, during the summer after 8th grade, Raw parties with Ethier, playing basketball and staying up all night talking, not to mention playing videogames until all hours of the morning. What about when we used to go to Funk's house, and play games like VCR Clue, or Mindtrap? Speaking of board games, Stratego, when Bill, me and you, would use the dumbest strategies to win, like placing our flag in the front line, waiting for Dave to take it, but he never did. Remember the infamous trip to Six Flags, and the whole "Oh yeah, I know" thing came about? How about all the trips to the bowling alley, where we'd just shit on Dave nonstop, and we'd all laugh about it? Or our celebrations during Extreme, and everyone looking at us? And I know we all remember the Coke/lollipop incident, I laugh just thinking about it, and I know you three do too, Al, you're included in that. What about when we used to wait for the van to pick us up, and we'd play Suicide, and we'd always make Dave chase after the ball? We used to have a blast going to Crystal Caves, and just let loose (don't worry Bill, I'll get to it). What about when it was us three and Ethier, and it started downpouring, and we still refused to stop playing? They had to basically drag us off the greens. Oh man, and who can forget the van on the way to Canobie Lake, when Mrs. Gancarz basically told us we could open the door, and then we did, then we couldn't get it closed. Wow, guys, so many memories together, hopefully, many more to come.

Bill: Holy shit man, we've had some great times huh? We've had about as many disagreements as anyone has, but we made it through everything. Almost every memory I think about, you're right there, laughing it up with me. The ones with Dave, and the ones by ourselves, all I can say is wow. hat about all the trips in the Topaz, and every fucking time we heard "Poem", and we just laughed about it? Or the simple trips to Arby's or Wendy's, where we'd just sit down and talk forever about everything and nothing. Oh man, remember when we went to the mall one day when we had the day off, and we spent hours looking for the Leap Frog Train for my Grandmother, and played NFL Fever for like ever? Even the basic trips to the mall or movies turned into an experience for us. What about Jan at Dunkin' Donuts, "it's either because she's a women, or because she's an immigrant"? Oh man, who can forget Uncle Dan? "Hey, you boys want some pop, eh? It's on me". Man, and Crystal Caves, the chip? Holy shit, I can't remember laughing so hard in my life. And I know you remember when you almost drove onto Route 12 with Colin on your hood. So many more than I can't even remember. Dude, I almost forgot to mention Manos: The......Hands of Fate, and Pod People. Man, so much about those two movies alone. "Like hell, more food", "It's a whole buffet", "'Trumpy, you can do magic things.' 'It's called evil kid.'", and Torgo, oh Torgo. Wow, I wouldn't change any of it for the world.

Dave: All I can say is TECMO! HAHAHAHA, wow, we've done so many things that I don't think I would've even considered doing with anyone else. Man, how about when we went to pitch/catch, and I had to use the broken mitt, and I go over to my wallet, and show you where my Health Card is, just incase? Or how many games of Quarterback Club or Mario Tennis or 007 or, lastly, Wrestlemania 2000 we played just to let go? Wow, how many awful games have we played on Nintendo, and just laughed during the entire thing, because of how bad they were. Remember when you called me down to your house to help you fix your printer, and I constantly told you to check the ink cartridge. What was the problem? Well, after two hours, we realized it was indeed the cartridge. How many times did we used to go into your room, and sit there for hours, and just talk about nothing, just because we could? Those were great. And how we used to laugh about how I'm scared shitless of your dad? What about the Superbowl? That's all I have to say, and you know what I'm talking about.

Kait: How could I leave you out? I can't, especially when it comes to inside jokes. I remember the first time I talked to you after Six Flags. I was over Dave's, and Bill was there too, and they're like "Who are you talking to?", and I'm like "Some hott chick I met at Six Flags", and they harrassed me about how you wouldn't remember me, then you didn't. But, after that, we've become the closest friends, and we've shared so many memories together. The first time I saw you in over a year was when you set me up with Krysten (and I know you're sorry for that but it gave us a chance to hang out). After that, it's one long memory of laughs. Like how we used to do the most random things, like walk right through Burger King, in one door and out the other, for no apparent reson. What about our trips to Rotman's, just to fuck around? Oh man, what about our 2 hour long trip for our variety pack of condoms? Who can forget 7-11 and our slurpees? What about when we would just drive around in the Topaz, and just talk about our problems, and just bash krysten left and right, and laugh about it? Remember when we played around with Jamie and the laser pointer, and almost gave her an asthma attack? What about our random trips to nowhere, just to do something together? The chocolate pies at Burger King? Oh yeah, I knew you'd remember. I remember that night you were in my pants the entire time, I hope it was as good for you as it was for me. Man, we've had the best times together, and I wouldn't want to share them with anyone else. I'll always be your Thomas the Tank Engine, and I'll always be here whenever you need me.

I know there are so many others with so many other people, and I'll be doing one for you guys soon. And for the ones listed above, you guys mean the world to me, let's neevr let anything come between us. We've made it this far, and it's been hard, but it's all been worth it. I could not be the person I am today without you, and I am forever thankful to all of you. I love you guys, and I always will.

P.S., if I missed some jokes, and I know I did, feel free to leave a list of them.

*Note that this is indeed a metaphor.
