Writer's Block: Things You Don't Want to Know

Mar 23, 2009 08:12

That's a loaded question. As a friend you are obligated to tell, but there is a very good chance that doing so might end the friendship. Still being a good friend means that you want what's best for your friend. Sometimes that means that you have to tell them the truth even when they don't want to hear it. I guess the key here is to tell them the truth as you know it and then let them decide how they will handle it and support that decision. You should have no other agenda than to be a good and loyal friend.

Here is a word of free advice, a single person can only remain mad at you for so long. The fact is that it takes a lot of effort to carry a grudge. A couple can remain mad at you for as long as they are together, even longer. Whenever one's anger starts to fade the other will jack it back up with real or imagined offenses. You have no idea what character assassination is until you've been vilified by a couple.
