Well well, the NHS, due to ongoing pressures for even further cuts, is beginning to look at 'upstream' prescribing.  That is prescribing against the cause of various conditions rather than just treating the symptoms once they appear.  Sounds like a sensible idea, whether it takes root is another matter.  Thus a doctor could prescribe house ( Read more... )

Had a lift to the Tear Fund training meet.  Where we were shown various bits from the "Killer TB" pack cos we might have been a bit too busy recently to look at it ourselves.  Now have much better ideas as to what to do for Tear Fund Week - including looking at the stuff myself!
