We had a good weekend.  Friday a couple of friends were married, so we went along to support them.  It was a lovely ceremony, she looked beautiful, he looked amazed and the sun shone for them.  Although I must say I'm not in favour of the ongoing fashion for 'semi-topless' wedding dresses!

So there we were the other evening, watching the film of Terry Pratchett's Hogfather and enjoying it, when it turned out to be but the first part in a two part broadcast.  Darn!  I'd recorded only the first part - it was shown on a channel that does ad breaks.  I hadn't realised it was being shown in two parts.  Ah well, I suppose it will be ( Read more... )
