Oh boy!  Having (kinda) voted to leave the EU - on a minimum of information and an awful lot of flag waving nationalism, the details are beginning to be worked out.  Mainly that it's likely to be expensive - it's two committees deciding all this, that'll be expensive just in tea and biscuits ( Read more... )

Following the Grenfel Tower tragedy local councils have been testing the cladding they had put onto their tower blocks.  So far the cladding on 60 of the buildings in 25 different local authorities (including two in Portsmouth) has failed basic fire safety tests.  The two Portsmouth blocks are being stripped of their cladding as I write - leaving ( Read more... )
