'Tis the Season to Be Silly
So maybe, just maybe, I shan't blog about anything serious today. Though next week . . . You have been warned!
Happy 15th Birthday to the Web! My doesn't time fly when you're young!
Yesterday H arrived home earlier, as he does on a Friday, went to check his emails and found that a friend from work had sent him
this. Enjoy!
Eligyah, le "Bobbing Cat", c'est Hastings oú Edgar? Looks as if Cedric, the Classical Cat, is listening to the opening movement of Hayden's "Surprise" symphony!
And in case you thought that the Church (of England) was totally outdated -
here!
For those looking for jobs, some
advice. For those of you still at school - work hard, it DOES matter how you spell things, and whether you get your words the right way round - unless you're Statemented Dislexic, & even then it helps. For those who already have jobs - read a dictionary occasionally. You'd be surprised by what you might learn. You could even amuse yourself by trying to work your 'Word for Today' into everyday conversation. The 'Q' section will be good for Scrabble players anyhow.
Meanwhile those wishing to test their spellings could try
here - warning, they're fairly hard words! I got 6/10, Must Try Harder!
One for all the Potter fans out there. Non-fans don't have to click the
link! (Thanks to "Uncle Steve"
Tyrell, a definite non-fan, for supplying it anyway)
This isn't silly at all, but rather nice. Anything involving Morris dancers isn't silly. Drunk maybe, but not silly!
Now
this (entry for 4th August) is really silly. Honestly, you'd think Debenhams would have something better to do than prosecute people. Or maybe Cymdeithas yr Iaith has finally run out of green paint?
And finally, a
not quite so silly item. Tell me, do you think that pic of Bill Hardman looks like Graham Norton? Now that might well be a project to vote for on the BBC's programme "Restoration" when the time comes.
There now, don't know what we're doing today, probably just hanging out (washing at least). Currently it feels a bit warm for "chillin'". Y'all have a good day now!
