Softening Life

You've heard of Yarn Bombing, Dear Reader, I've told you about it.  Now meet the Guerilla Upholsterer.  That's guerilla - fighter, not gorilla - large ape, for all he wears a gorilla mask!  I suppose a guerilla mask might be one of those closed up balaclava helmets?  Having waited at that kind of bus stop, on the Isle of Wight and in Pembrokeshire actually, I can appreciate what he's doing.

Then there is the genteel art of napkin folding - linen origami anyone?  Gracious!  These days I'm doing well if I don an apron.

And - The Clangers are due to return to TV in 2015.  I missed the original series - too old and too busy at  school.  The new series is being written by Oliver Postgate's son Daniel.  Here's hoping!  Do you remember The Clangers, Dear Reader?  Or are you too too young/old?

Slightly less soft - Cheekiness, a British concept.  At one point the writer wonders whether the lack of major revolutions in the UK is due to outlets provided by cheekiness?  Hmmm, think it had more to do with things changing gradually, and there being a lot of UK citizens praying for the country.

So there you are, Dear Reader, a roundup of 'fluff' - you can go find out about the Cyclone in India, the USA is still being held to ransom by the Tea Party & other Republicans, a typhoon hits Japan, and various eradicable diseases which are still killing and injuring millions.

Y'all have a good day now!
