Whatever Next?

Two headlines from the BBC News:

• Most People Want Iraq Pull-Out -  (I notice they didn't ask Iraqis)  Though a lot of people in this country didn't want the attack on Iraq in the first place.  There were protest marches, petitions, letters to The House & no 10.  Hmmm, what price Democracy?  Wonder how many want to pull out now were all in favour a few years back?  Oh, I'm in favour of a withdrawal, but gradually.  Like I said a long time back, the inter-Iraqi conflict was there already.  Saddam Hussein just kept a lid on it.  A just system as replacement would be the ideal, though unlikely.

• US terror law 'unconstitutional' - You don't say!  I also note that the Judge has allowed the government time to appeal against his decision.  Hah!  & there was I thinking that the US of A was originally set up cos certain ex-Europeans objected to folks being thrown into jail cos the then government didn't approve of their politics or something.  So what's gone wrong since?

    Meanwhile the gene for thoughtless stupidity continues.  w00t!?  See, stupid at the top, stupid at the bottom, & stupid all the way through.  Aaaarrrggh!

& I've almost finished the socks.  Just got to decide how to do the top.  Original pattern had a picot edge, but having tried it I'm not sure.
