A friend of mine has been staying with us for a while because she moved out of her parents' house, and it made me realise how hard life really is..
Tenants and employers look down on people between the ages of 18-21, and it's just not fair. Nothing in life is free...you really don't get benifits just for being kind and sweet..you have to be old. There are strings attached to everything, and if you make one little mistake, you're set back for months.
The world really is an ugly place and the bad people that break the rules make it all the more harder for those who try to do the right thing.
On the bright side, this experience has really made me appreciate my parents. I didn't realise how spoiled I was, and I think I'd be lost without their guidance...and financial support. I'm just glad I have a few more years to grow up before I have to start my own life.
