I often wonder, in my infinitely connected lifestyle, if I'm missing the boat. This ranges from thoughts on programming languages to social networking to assorted musical tastes. It's not particularly in my nature to seek fashion - perhaps that's why I'm so fashionable? - but just the same I can't help wondering which trends are here to stay and ( Read more... )

Participation is just that: Participation. I dunno about you, but maybe you should rather ask: What do I enjoy doing?

The better question is if there's any utility in participation. It seems to work for others, but I'm not entirely sure how one defines "work".

How do you define 'utility', for that matter? Or "hazard", in the second-to-last paragraph.

Hmmm, well would it be worth my while. Would I be introduced to new people or such that might make networking more interesting? Would I get interest in my thoughts? Would I be able to group folks together into a company? etc.

It leaves you fucking alone and sad. anonymous October 14 2009, 04:02:59 UTC
It leaves you alone and fucking boring, with a trail of people that do not like you and love to talk smack about you in secret then jerk you around for lulz. Then pass around what you say to get even more lulz.

In other words get a life and stop being teh asshat. Oh and buy a damn Fancy rug or something for once and not whacked porn.

Hell some damn CD’s at least then when you DJ on second life it wont be the same music almost every time, you blew your chance of social networking on second life already you might get another chance if you become interesting.

Whatever, mannnnggg.
