back to busy-ness.
Both of my parents were in the hospital last week. Two separate hospitals, because separate is how they do things now. Mom was having some more work done after her double mastectomy, because she hasn't been healing as well or as fast as she needs to be. Ray had a blood clot in his leg that moved to his lung. He is still in the hospital.
Smokey is doing really well, all things considered. She's really holding out like a champ. If she weren't wearing a purple bandage around her chest and an inflatable tube around her neck (to prevent her from biting at her bandage), then you wouldn't even know she had a festering tumor at all. She still doesn't show signs of sickness, really. Her activity level is normal, her appetite is normal. The only thing that really sucks is that I have to clean that festering tumor and change the bandages every day. ick.
On top of that, it's the end of my first semester at ECU. I have three class days left, a couple assignments, few exams, and then that's it. I actually had a really exceptional day at school today. It just seemed like all my classes were relative to each other. It just so happened that something I learned in my Theatre class was completely relative to my Anthropology lecture today. Then in my theatre class we were talking about literature I had discussed in my Fiction Writing class. And to top it all of, my computers class lecture was all about business management, and directly related to my every day life. It was so weird how everything connected. I'm beginning to feel a sense of satisfaction with my whole semester.
So at least there is that.
