So, I met Dane Cook today...
...well, not exactly. But I met someone who really reminded me of him and he actually acted out some of Dane's stuff which made me laugh, so I'm just gonna pretend that I met him. Anyways, long time, no post.
So, summer is in full swing. I got back from my relaxing vacation and got my room pretty much completed, so thats good. And the apartment is pretty much all done except for a few little things to do. Mirtha finally came home and I got to see her a few times before she had to go back to NYC to work. Damn professional. Last Tuesday I started my internship in one of the schools in my town working with the school psychologist and I started working at the Rec on Friday. The internship is really cool--I'm getting to help conduct tests and sit in on counseling. It's actually kinda great, although at times it can be boring because I can't really counsel yet.
I saw the Break-Up on Friday with Kat, Liz, and Tommy. I actually really liked the first half of the movie and I didn't really mind the second half, although it was a lil boring. But I heart Vince Vaughn. Seriously, he is so freakin funny. Yesterday was the first day of the Nautical Festival in my town and since the Rec Center runs it I had to work it with Kat and Liz. Let me tell you the vendors are really rude as well as the cops. Also, the torrential rain did not make it any fun. But whatever, I got paid for 10 hours and didn't really do much.
Today my mom and I went into the city to see a play called The Light in the Piazza. It was ok, kinda boring. But we went to dinner at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. and it was amazing. I had this awesome drink there and yummy food. And this is wear I met my Dane Cook. He was our waiter, was cute, and did a Dane Cook bit that was great. So overall, the summer has been going well and is entertaining.
Next up is planning some NYC day trips to be a tourist...thats it for now. Also, I saw a movie yesterday called Something New and it was really good, so rent it, especially if you liked Love and Basketball cause the main character is the same actress as the one that movie. Ok, bed soon cause I have work tomorrow.
