I know I've asked this before, but what is the fall out from the Dementors breeding at the beginning of OotP? Per JKR, the Dementors no longer guard Azkaban, so what are they doing? What can the Ministry do to control them? As far as we know, Dementors can't be destroyed, only driven off.

Can we say Dementors are responsible for Labour's shift to the Right? UKIP's rise? How do we explain Thatcherism, then?
