Our Black Friday shopping consisted of hanging out in PJs until 11a, then heading to the wholesale tile place to talk to the very talkative contractor redoing the master bathroom. And they also bought some tile? IDK, I was wandering around mentally doing my dream house in ceramic, travertine, glass, and river pebbles. They also had a very nice selection of wood laminate. I had fun. I was disappointed when we didn't end up going to the other tile place. I am terrible.
Anyway, then we went to Five Guys, where I've never been before. Inna Gadda Da Vida on the speakers, vanilla shot in my Diet Coke, so it was a nice introduction even before I got a very excellent bacon cheeseburger. I want a raise so I can eat out on Saturdays sometimes.
After that we went to Bed Bath & Beyond to look at immersion blenders for my aunt and shower head possibilities for the bathroom, wandered aimlessly and fruitlessly around Target looking for fuck knows what, and Home Depot for Root Kill, Minwax to test-dye a stone sample, and an unsuccessful survey of shower heads.
Tonight we walked a couple blocks to a big church with a big light display. It was nice. They used glowsticks in their luminarias, which I thought was brilliant, especially since they were able to get colors other than acid green. Given the typical glowstick half-life, it's probably only best for a couple of hours event rather than a several hours event. But I thought it was a cool idea.
We had the sliding glass doors open before we left, since it was so nice out. I heard coyotes howling out in the open space/park on the other side of the road. For all the years I lived here I never heard that, so that was cool.
Tomorrow we're going to have lunch with Granny, then order a pizza and watch The Game. \o/
