A week, I had one.

Got A's in both my classes, very nice comments from both profs on my final projects, neither of which I felt very good about when I did them. My Management & Organization prof thinks I am a genius or something, ironic given how I felt about the class. He wished me good luck in the real world. ^_^

Next semester is web design or Information Architecture or some such. IDK, but the textbook is about HTML and CSS. I haven't done non-LJ HTML since 2000-ish, so this should be interesting. CSS sounds like it might be a form of black magic.

Did not get as much accomplished on my week off as I had hoped.

I have officially run out my state unemployment claim. I'm eligible for Federal until the end of December, but I haven't yet gotten my automatic renewal notification from EDD. Massive anxiety around that, obviously, so even though I know I need to deal with it, I'm having some trouble working myself up to doing so. Ditto with job applications, although I did do two this week (I know, I know. I have a shit-ton of tabs open with apps to do, they just suck spoons like nothing else).

Macy's sent me a postcard suggesting perhaps I would like a seasonal position. Of course, I've been gone long enough I've lost my raises and seniority, so I would start as an on-call at $8.50/hr. Debating if I can even afford to work there. If it comes down to that, I think I would rather work at Disneyland, since nobody is going to let me take the holidays off anyway. Dad made displeased noises when I pointed out that working a billion hours at low-paying jobs in order to just meet expenses would preclude school.

Talked my dad into accompanying me to Disneyland today. Had ridiculous insomnia last night, so I'm not terribly irritated he could only hang out with me until 6, instead of gate-to-gate. We had a good time, did everything we wanted to do. The lines didn't get bad until late in the afternoon. We walked through the Disneyland gate at 7:45, and we were headed to DCA by lunch. Wild. It was hot and humid (Fantasmic and World of Color are probably going to be amazeballs tonight). You could really feel the lack of shade and air circulation in some places.

I am no longer made of damp, as Dad's car has a functioning a/c, but my sunscreen is not the nicest-feeling stuff in the world. I'm waiting to take a shower until closer to bedtime so I can try to cool off as much as possible before I try to do that sleeping thing again.
