I have formed an opinion on the whole George-Lucas-putting-low-income-housing-on-Skywalker-Ranch-because-his-neighbors-got-the-HOA-to-say-he-can't-build-more-studio-space thing: it sucks.
AFAICT, Skywalker Ranch and the adjacent land where the housing would be built is in the boonies. No commercial properties around there, either for working or groceries. Probably not much in the way of mass transit. Requiring these low-income people to be high enough income to have and maintain a car.
Also, "boogedy boogedy poor people"? Not a nice thing for Mr. 1% to be saying. Not that his neighbors aren't also shitheads for immediately assuming poor=crack dealing gangbangers. But yeah, using people who are having a hard time finding paying work as a scare tactic/blackmail/leverage point sucks.
