Today, I got a call from my boss, who told me that he needed me to cover a meeting of a local city council tomorrow night. I told him that I had already used up all my hours for this week, and he said he didn't care. He's pay me for the extra hours. I'm now a paid reporter at my radio station. That's right, people are now giving me money for reporting the news. Further proof of my unapproachable awesome continues to surface. It's still part-time (amounting to less than 20 hours per week) but I mean come on. I'm not sure these shoes can support so much majesty.

Turns out, I can't even get a job in the place where I work. Management says it can't hire me because they "can't justify paying somebody inexperienced in audio delivery." I've only actually been on the air a few times, and don't have the skills to be a consistent anchor. As such, my time isn't worth their money. They'll reabsorb some of Lindsey's ( Read more... )
