The past few days on tour have had quite an excitement about them, seeing that the last girlfriend of the band decided to join us. Judita and I’ve been dragging her around shops, spending horrifying amounts of money and getting into the whole holiday mood. It seems that every place we’ve stopped in for just a night of rest or played a show at has just been filled with a wonderful atmosphere. There’s not really anything better than that to go along with a good tour, is there?
Be it the fans or the adrenaline rush or just the whole experience, I love touring so fucking much. I can’t really explain it. Our North American tour stops on Saturday, in San Francisco. We’ve been on the road for almost three weeks now. It isn’t a lot compared to our previous tours, but I’m ready to kick back, spend some time with both my family and Ryan’s, and just enjoy the upcoming holidays and my birthday without worrying about our busy tour schedule. At least until the second day of the New Year, anyway.
The boyfriend and I have already decided on plans for such holidays. Christmas and New Years and birthday time will be spent with his family on Sunday, and quite frankly, I can’t wait to spend that time with them. His parents are such warm, loving, really fucking amazing people that you just can’t help but fall in love with and realize where Ryan received all the wonderful things about him. The actual holidays will be celebrated in Australia with my family, though.
It can’t be explained how fucking nice it’ll be for me to be back there. To bond with my sister, cook with my mother, and drink with my father all in my real… “home” are just three of the things I love to do, despite the fact that we live on two different continents now. I just fucking hope no one decides to light up in front of me. That would lead to some fucking unpleasant things.
