It’s strange to think that another year has already passed us by and within a few days a new one is going to start.
There’s a lot of shit that’s happened within the past year. Things were ended, things were started, and a lot of things that were intended to start never even began. Such things happen to include the finalization of my divorce and a name change, my band’s release of our third album, mindless pop princesses talking shit about me, and the start of a new and very perfect relationship.
With some things, the year took a sour turn. With others, it didn’t so much. I could go into a lengthy, detailed description of every single thing, but I’m satisfied to say that my year was great. What happened to everyone did such and it would be nice if people could just relax and spend the beginning of a New Year with friends and family, if possible. I’m certain that I’m going to be doing that exact thing.
However, there is a small damper in any plans to stay with my family longer than the first of January; a mini-tour that is to be started two days into 2004. There are seven dates that include Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide are already set. The shows for Sydney should be very interesting, as should the ones for Melbourne. There is a big part of me that thinks it’s unbelievable to realize that I’ve not played in those two cities since I was at the very youngest, fifteen or sixteen years old. And here I am now, two days shy of twenty-five and fixing to play there again.
Anyhow… the chances that I will be updating again within the next day or so are pretty much slim to none. So with that, I wish you all a Happy New Year.
