Sometimes I wonder about things
I was badly injured some 20 years ago. Someone took to me with what was effectively a blunt battle axe. Since then I've had a headache, and pain in my back. Pain at a level that on a good day knocks 30 or so points off my IQ, and makes me seem either vague or self centred.
I've been using codeine to keep the urge to scream at bay. Scripts for codeine are somewhat rationed by our strongly Calvinist medical regulators. I got by for much of that time on over the counter codeine, which while far from ideal gave me some relief. Recently they severely restricted over the counter codeine. I suspect some pharmacies have erred too far in the direction of caution, an hour of paperwork and suspicion to get three days worth of painkillers is somewhat extreme., especially as that size box should be pretty much paperwork free.
So I'm coping with erratic weather and life's vagaries while dealing with a lot of pain. I'm trying not to upset those near and dear to me, but I currently have almost zero tolerance for idiots.
