Week 4 - Sunday
Aw gosh, it's week 4 already. I've got this week and then six more weeks, and then break, and then ten more weeks and then that'll be it.
I wrote a whole bunch of letters. I'm hunting down addresses now so that I can send them. Expect those soonish... I don't know how long it takes to send a letter overseas.
I had to mess with my skype because it was being weird and I think I had done something weird to it originally so now my skype name is: J.S.Salvator, just like my fancy email. My MHC email has been overfull for about a month now to the point where it won't even let me delete stuff and I can't go up and ask LITS for an exstention because I'm not at MHC. I've sent them an email asking for one, but nothing's happened and it's not like they can send me an email telling me what's up because my email is stuffed up.
My gmail ones are still fine, though. I check everything periodically.
We went out for Matin's Birthday last night except them I found out that that was only an excuse to get people to go out and we didn't spend any time with Martin at all. I had Corkies out of test tubes and Banana Pie shots, and Archers Lemonade (that was good). This night was probably a bit more fun than last time... I don't know, the more times I go out, the more going out loses its appeal. I'm really not a go out to a club and party kinda girl. I prefer parties that involve staying in and watching movies and junk. Let's get a baking party going. I need food!
The last few times I tried to use the skillet I've produced lots of smoke. I made French toast for the first time and it had smoke spewing from it, but there was a vent above the stove so I thought it'd be alright until I turn around and see that the room is filled with a smoky haze! My fail omelet also spewed smoke so I decided I probably shouldn't use a skillet for a while, but then I wanted to use up my opened bag of cheese so I baked my grilled cheese sandwiches 'cause the grill option on the stove confuses me. The options on the knob on the stove don't make any sense at all. The bake option is a fan... because it involves turning on a fan in the oven... What?
There's been Sun this weekend! It's been wonderful! For about 2 hours, between about 2:30 and 4ish, I get little rainbows on my walls. I shoud've taken a picture of that for you guys... Aw well, next time. I'm curious to see how long good weather lasts this side of England. There were clear skies when I showed up, but there also snow and bitter cold. Then there were 3 weeks of fog and overcast and going on 2-3 days that involve sunshine. I hope it continues ^^
Since I've started getting comfortable here, I've started boosting my project going-ons. I'm sad that I had so much paint at home that I couldn't bring. I'd ask moms + dads to send it to me, but I don't think they allow paint to be mailed... and it sounds like it'd be kinda heavy. I'm hoping to find some cheap paint here. I've also discovered amazon.co.uk. Getting stuff online might be cheaper... Mother + Father! If you're reading this, I want to discuss with you my parameters for spending and ordering while over here in the UK. We never really talked about these things while I was home. I didn't think it'd be an issue, but this currency conversion is biting a lot harder than I thought it was going to.
This upcoming week is the cementing of the ordering of my life here, now that I'm aware of the options offered to me. I'll probably be able to give you a comprehensive schedule of my entire week by next Sunday.
I'm gonna have to find some place to get videos so that I can entertain myself while I'm here. They're probably hiding with the books with storylines...
