I found this question elsewhere on the web (I think it was Shakespear's Sister's blog)
What would your teenage self think of your present self?
Mine, I know, would be horribly disappointed on almost every level, though she might think the rock climbing was a cool surprise. She'd be horrified by my profession - systems engineering??? She would be disapppointed that I wasn't doing something far more creative, or at the very least, working for a worthwhile nonprofit (of course, she didn't have bills to pay and I do, so chalk part of this up to naivete on her part). She'd be shocked that I have a child, and even more shocked to find out I've single parented for 15 years.
I cannot think of a single area in which my life remotely resembles *anything* I wanted it to resemble when I was a teenager. I did not become who I wanted to be when I grew up.
So...what would *your* teenage self think of your current self? What would he or she think of your current life?
