so i just got back from harlingen where i had my last champs tourny ever. i didn't do too well, but i had fun. i really like hanging out with my coach's, they're really funny. i'm gonna miss them a lot when i go off to college. on friday night me, my coach's, this kid that went with us and this other kid from my drill group and his dad all went out to eat. it was really fun, and this kid's dad is really kool. he is a really great christian guy and it shows in everything that he does. i hope some day that i shine that bright for God. we left saturday afternoon. i slept for the first couple of hours and when i woke up we were at the border patrol, so my spanish coach's and the other kid convinced me that we were going to mexico and we would be there in a few hours. i went back to sleep and then when i woke up they told me we were in mexico. we stopped at wendy's and i didnt' believe them that we were really in mexico so i asked the wendy's girl(who was acually dressed like wendy from wendy's) and she laughed and said that we were still in texas. once i told my coach's what she said they all laughed at me and made fun of me. then they told me that we weren't in mexico yet but we really were going and we were about 2 hours away. when we got in the car i went back to sleep and woke up a few hours later and saw a sign for houston and realized we wern't going to mexico. yea they had a really good laugh at my expense. if i knew how to speak spanish fluently i would have known their devious plot to trick me. i think i have had enough spanish for a while. thank goodness for mp3 players that drown out spanish speaking and spanish music. the whole weekend was filled with spanish speaking, barely any english.
i leave for my mission trip to mexico in 6 days!!! i'm really excited to see what God has in store for me during that week. I pray that I will listen to what God wants to tell me and that I go with an open heart and mind.
