When I haven't been otherwise occupied procrastinating, I've been quite busy for about a week now packing for college and making sure everything is ready. I'm about 80% done with the packing, excluding clothes appropriate for the current weather and things I use on a daily basis. I leave on Saturday morning.

After an uneventful drive, I arrived at the con around 15:00. I wandered at random and helped on the chaos machine for a while, then went back to wandering until the interesting stuff started happening. They have the best consuite I have ever seen, by the way. In case you didn't know, I'm going to PenguiCon this weekend. For anyone who doesn't know, it is a Science Fiction and Free and Open Source Software convention. Kind of an odd combo, I guess, but there is a lot of overlap in the communities. This is perhaps my favorite con because it combines several of my interests obsessions. Here's an abbreviated, stream-of-consciousness, exceptionally belated con report for ConFusion: I had a great time, over all. The drive wasn't too bad, until we got to Detroit, at which point they completely closed 75 off. We spent an hour blundering through Detroit while the GPS tried to send us across the bridge to Canada. The filking on Friday ( Read more... )

On Sunday, I got up as early as I could force myself to and headed back to the con. Listened to music in the main room and socialized with people I knew from the night before, mostly.
