Oh, sweet irony. Not that long ago, Aglaia was here as a patient - and, now, she's helping out with the linens and other cleaning duties. Or, rather, she's trying to, but a bandaged hand and wrist aren't really making the job any easier. All the same, she's doing the work - even if she has her grim face on and occasionally winces when she pulls her hand too much. At the moment, she's stripping one of the beds down and dumping the cloth in a basket to take to the laundry at some point or another. At the least, the infirmary's mostly quiet and she's able to take her time in getting the work done without pushing herself -too- hard.

Firamar walks into the infirmary with a tool belt slung over his shoulder. His chore assignment is to 'fix' things in the weyr and he has been sent to the infirmary to fix a wonky cot. He spots Aglaia and Daranyl as he enters and gives them a wave, "Hey you two, don't mind me I'm looking for a wonky cot that needs to be fixed...oh there it is." He walks towards it and examines it slowly, then pulls a pair of pliers from the belt.

Daranyl is seated near one of the alcoves, helping with the linens and folding, but looking very much as if he hasn't slept since Aglaia last saw him. He takes a breath, then lets it out slowly, enjoying the quiet.. until Firamar interrupts it. He glances at the cot when the other candidate mentions it, then shrugs and holds up his hand, nodding towards a cot that's closed off, "Folks're sleepin'."

The arrival of another is enough to give Aglaia pause. There's a backwards look for Firamar, a slight wince for his tone, and a low-pitched, "There's that one and another, I think. The other broke just a little while ago," and she's not about to elaborate. She finishes stripping the bed and hefts the basket, resting it against one hip and leaving her bandaged hand free. A curious glance is angled toward Daranyl and her mouth pulls to a side, lips pressed into a flat line. After checking to see what other beds remain, she decides on a slightly different course of action; namely, heading over to the linen-folding Candidate and offering up a low, "You sleeping okay?"

Firamar doesn't reply to Daranyl just nods his head then turns towards Aglaia "I'll get them both fixed in no time Aglaia." With that he starts to work on the first cot, tightening some bolts and realigning the legs so that it sits level. He stands up and examines his handiwork before moving over to the next cot, careful to keep the noise down so as not to disturb anyone else that might be sleeping.

Daranyl shrugs slightly, "'M fine, 'Glaia. Li'l Bit's jus' sick, so I'm tryin' ta help Sunny out where I can aroun' my other duties 's all." His gaze flicks over to stalker-harper, then back to Aglaia, carefully pressing a crease into the sheet in his lap, "How's yer han'?"

"Thanks, Firamar," Aglaia offers with a faint, lopsided smile to the Candidate-turned-handyman. Leaving him to his work, she focuses, instead, on Daranyl - and keeping that basket balanced at her hip. "Oh, goodness," she breathes with a slight furrow of her brow. "Um. Well, if there's anything I can do to help, let me know? You need sleep the same as the rest of us," and never mind that she's basically doing double-duty all the time -anyway-. As for her hand? She lifts the bandaged appendage and wiggles her fingers, though there's just a ghost of a wince for the motion. "It'll survive. Three stitches and so much redwort that I'm pretty sure it'll never go back to a normal color."

Sarina had to stay at the Infirmary for at least a day, though when able to take her Sundari did, though now she is back for a checkup to make sure all is well. She has a box tucked under her arm while she is carrying the girl in her arms. Sunny glances around the Infirmary, seems the place is a bit busy, again.. The place is always hopping as of lately! Sarina is better, still a bit clingy though, but at least not crying like the last time she was here.

Firamar slowly lowers the cot to its side and examines the bent legs silently wondering to himself how someone had managed to put such a dent in the legs. He examines where the legs meet the main frame of the cot, nodding his head he searches for some tools on the tool belt and finds a thin, long heavy gauged spring which he slides into the first leg, taking the leg in his hand he starts to slowly bend the leg back into its normal shape the spring preventing the leg from kinking as he straightens it.

"Hey Sunny." Daran sounds as tired as he looks, "How's Li'l Bit doin' t'day?" He offers Aglaia a shrug for her offer, "Thanks. I think she's comin' out of it soon. I hope she is. Will yer han' be alrigh' by th' hatchin'?"

The latest arrival is glanced at and waved to - if with a bandaged hand. Aglaia only peripherally takes note of whatever Firamar's doing - mostly because there's noise in that direction and fixing things sometimes sounds like breaking them. In either case, her attention refocuses on Daranyl and her nose wrinkles, one shoulder rising and falling. "It should be, if I don't go maiming myself with clumsiness again. Though, if I did that, I'm sure the Healers would think I was trying to get out of the Hatching and they'd make me stand anyway." Or something like that. It should sound like a joke, but it kind of doesn't.

Sundari can understand that tired look from Daranyl, she could use more sleep but she is use to this honestly. "Hey.. She's better, sleeping through the night somewhat." She peers at the Hunter a touch, worried about him now it seems. "Looks like your the one that could use the sleep now." A smile is offered to the others and she nods before peering at Aglaia. "What happened?" Between all this a box if offered to Daranyl. "Something.. to say thankyou for helping me." A smile seen as well. Sarina wigglywaves her fingers at him a few times.

Firamar slowly removes the spring from the first bent leg and inserts it into the other leg that has been bent, he takes a deep breath and slowly starts to bend the leg but then stops as a low "shard it.." escapes his lips.

Daranyl actually smiles when he spots Sarina's greeting, a broad, full smile, a truly rare expression from the usually taciturn hunter, "Jus' been workin' too much, Sunny. But I'll sleep better knowin' she's healin' up." Aglaia's theory gets a soft snort, "naw, you get hurt bad 'nuff 'n' they won' letcha stan', an' after everythin' we've been through it'd be awful ta lose the chance now." He sets the folded sheet on the stack and grabs another, "Wha's wrong, Firamar?"

"That's what I was just telling him." Aglaia utters a low laugh and shakes her head just a little. "And I'm serious. I'll take your chores if you need me to so you can get some rest." It's as good a promise as one can possibly get. The girl turns her attention to Sundari and a sheepishly tilted smile is offered. "I wasn't paying attention and some wood got the better of me. It's not -bad-, just- you know. Deep." There's a beat, then: "It'll be better by the Hatching, they tell me." Even if goodness only knows -when- those eggs are going to pop! Daranyl's observation elicits a slight roll of her shoulders, but she says nothing - instead, she shifts her attention to the basket of dirty linens at her hip for just a moment.

Sundari shakes her head slightly while she moves to sit down next to Daranyl where he might be. The box for him is still there waiting for him to take hold of it mind you. "Good.. Cause you need to sleep while you can." Well if he impresses a dragon he'll learn rather quickly that sleep won't happen that easily. She smiles to Aglaia and nods. "That is good to hear. Glad it isn't anything serious like and all."

"This leg is going to have to be replaced its got a tear in it that can't be fixed. Are there any replacement cots that you know of Aglaia, I can take this one out and replace it with the new one if you'd like." As he's speaking he takes the spring out of the leg and places it back in the tool belt, folding the legs of the cot and placing the pillow and linen on a nearby chair.

"Whadda ya mean I need it while I can? Li'l Bit's not gettin' sick again, righ'?" Daranyl keeps folding, but it's somewhat absent how he works now, pausing to take Sarina when the baby is offered to him, "Dunno nothin' abou' spare parts, man. Sorry. 'M jus' tryin' ta get through at this poin', really." He smiles down at Sarina, reaching to beep her nose, "Can' be too much longer until th' eggs hatch... can it?"

"What?" Aglaia half-turns toward Firamar and sucks her teeth for just a moment. "There should be one or two in stores, but I'm not sure where they are, exactly." She hitches the basket up again and, finally, starts for the door. "I need to take this to the laundry, otherwise I'd be happy to go get it. And- ah. I don't think it's much longer. It can't be, unless the eggs are made of stone." She angles a proper look to Sundari and Daranyl and Sarina, offering the lot of them a singular nod and a faint, lopsided smile of apology. "Take care, you two." And then she's gone, headed out to finish up her chore du jour.
