This is not what college is supposed to be like. I just got out of my first class (Spanish) and supposedly we get an attendance grade. This sucks. In college the teachers aren't supposed to care if we come to class or not. I have an hout until my next class and I have nothing to do and no one to talk to. Also, I'm sick. So no one even wants to talk

brittany!!! sophomores will talk to you!! they've been there, they know what it's like to be new and not to know anyone. if you get in with the older kids they can hook you up with more stuff anyway. i know exactly how you feel...ppl go to college with all their high school friends blah blah blah, but it will get better. oh and about the attendance thing; in my african class if we miss 3 classes we drop 1 letter grade. how freaking harsh is that??

Well, I did talk to one sophomore yesterday. I think he felt sorry for me though...but oh well at least he talked to me. His name is Eric and he's in my spanish class. We were supposed to get 2 phone numbers from 2 different ppl in class and I got his. About your african class...wow, that is harsh. My spanish teacher grades us week my week and if we miss a day it is impossible to get an A. I think If we miss a day and do really well (speak in spanish the entire time everyday) we can only get a B.
