Bachelorette Party Fun

Mar 30, 2007 09:37

Today, I'm in the last stages of planning a bachelorette party for my best lawschool friend.  The big day is tomorrow night and I'm really excited about it.  Originally, all of this planning was supposed to result in an absolutely fabulous trip to South Beach complete with themes, games, prizes and debauchery in general, but due to the snow storm two weeks ago, my flight was canceled and I missed the trip.  Luckily, only one other person from NY and I had our flights canceled, so the party went on as planned (minus all the themes, games and decorations I had planned), but since I did so much work, the bride to be was so kind as to let me attempt to recreate the moment in NYC.

Here is what is on the agenda for tomorrow:

Theme:  Havana Nights (This would have been better in Miami b/c we ordered Cuban food and had Miami as a backdrop, but it's still a fun theme).

Decorations:  White Christmas Lights, Red Tea light candles, Maracas, Cigar Boxes, Cuba & Havana Night Posters, Red Light bulbs, Chocolate Cigars, Random penis paraphernalia in the room.  I'm still looking for some fabric that screams havana nights, but I may have to give up on that.

Starting out the night:  Bachelorette Party Pledge (Promising to generally have fun)

Games:  The Newlywed Game, How well do you know the Bachelorette (the Dirrrrty version), Scavenger Hunt

Food:  Fruit & Cheese Platter, lots of hor d'oeuvres, cupcakes, penis shaped brownie, pomegranate martinis, champagne, wine, vodka & mixers.

General Entertainment:  Dancing, Drinking, laughing, lots of pictures will be taken.

Second Part of the Evening:  The second part of the evening will go co-ed.  We'll meet up with the fiance and all the guy friends and go to a club in NYC.  It's going to be a fun night.

The only thing I wish I had done is put together a skit to perform.  Swati is such a good friend I want to make sure she is really entertained and has a great time.  Anyone have any ideas for skits?  I have no problem making up dances and singing if anyone has any suggestions.
