Here it is...the finished patio, complete with new floors, new rugs & new wetbar! I really like the results, and everything was ready in time for 10 guests to enjoy it this week for the Cinema Brittahytta season premiere!

While waiting for the patio progress that is SOOO close to being completed, here's a garden update! Since I was gone most of April, I knew I'd miss the first pass at my rosebushes, but I was lucky that some started blooming before I left....and the best part was that I didn't miss my front Dutch iris that only finally bloomed after 3 years in the ( Read more... )

Project Weekend was already almost a month ago and it's still not documented...ack! I did get lots done the following weekend, rearranging both sheds to clear space in the garage for the largest patio furniture to go out of the way, then had a work offsite so weeknights unavailable once I finally made good progress clearing the patio. It's that time again! New year, new projects! Last year was the most intense project year at my house...whew! I got a LOT done! The kitchen passed final inspection from the city this past Friday, so the major remodel is really ALL DONE!!! It's the largest investment I have made in my house since purchasing it, not just financially but so much personal time & effort, and I am very proud of the results ( Read more... )

This was the whirlwind week for the new kitchen!
