I have become quite relaxed in how often I update and perhaps that is not the best thing. I enjoy keeping people updated with what is going on and just putting up something to think about every now and then.
School is going well, I suppose. I have a good feeling I will be getting an A in everything. I have nearly all of my final projects and things of that nature completed. The only tough thing in the future is my Biology final exam. It shouldn’t be too bad, though. I am ready for this semester to be over, though; I do not care very much for most of my classes.
Thanksgiving break was a nice time to get home and see some family that I don’t get to see very often. My cousins from Georgia came to visit and unfortunately, Taryn was not able to make it this year. They usually come to visit in the summer as well, so hopefully she will be able to come then.
These next few weeks I have some fun stuff coming up and I’m looking forward to them very much. New York City with a bunch of friends is going to be amazing. I’ve never actually been in the city, just through it, so it will be quite an experience I am sure.
Life is funny sometimes. I often trick myself into thinking that I know what is going on, and sometimes I do know. Other times, I have no idea. It doesn’t really matter, though, because God is in control. That is what I have to remind myself.
This next semester is going to be quite different from the first. For one thing, if all goes according to plan, I will have a roommate again. Another thing is that one of my friends will be transferring to a different school. I am going to have rather open days on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and I like that a lot.
I have to do a lot of thinking about what I want to do to earn money this summer. I could go back to Beacon Lodge, but I am not sure if that is what I want to do. I would rather have a little more time at home with my family. This will be Jamie’s last summer before college and I am going to miss her a lot. It will not be as easy for her to come home a lot, so I won’t see her much when school starts. I did not make a lot of money at Beacon Lodge, either. I do want everyone to know that even if I don’t work there, I will come back to visit as much as I can.
I feel like I don’t read enough anymore. I used to read a lot and now it isn’t something that I spend much time doing. I would like to change that.
I have to get new contacts sometime soon. My right eye is terrible right now. I found out when I was in the car and I closed one eye to look at road signs and then the other. In doing so, I realized that I have to be about twenty feet from a sign to read it clearly with my right eye alone. I knew it was getting bad, but I didn’t realize the severity. I’ll get an appointment for sometime over Christmas break.
Speaking of Christmas, I am really excited for it. Winter break is when I have a lot of time to see some more people than I do at any other point during the year. I don’t know if it’s going to be as awesome as it was last year, but hey, we can try to make it that way!
I suppose that’s all I really have to say for tonight. I hope you all had a great holiday! Here’s hoping I put up another blog soon!
