**waves** Hi ya! I just joined this community a little while ago. I live in the US (metro NY area) and am a avid britcom and british mystery fan. Can't get enough of them-literally! :) Some of my favorites are Keeping Up Appearances, Barbara, Black Addar, Fawlty Towers, Vicar of Dibley, French & Saunders, My Hero, Father Ted, Waiting for God,

I still can't believe that we sold stuff like Last of the Summer Wine and My Hero to PBS.

Laughing all the way to the bank on that one, I think.

Now, if PBS were to pick up say... The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer or Vic Reeves Big Night Out, maybe I would consider actually giving PBS some money.

Not to mention that Waiting for God brings back incredibly boring memories of Friday night at my Nan's house having fish and chips for supper.

LOL!! Yes, Geoffrey has been in quite a few! :) Waiting for God is always a good show. It's funny how programs become such an important part of our lives, isn't it?! :)

That's not all "Are You Being Served" is still being shown here...
There are some decent older British shows that would provide a nice change of pace to the tut we get here - Harry Hill, Knowing You, Knowing Me, Coogan's Run. Even some of the really old comedy - Dad's Army or Allo Allo beats the stuff we firesold to PBS...

I love "Are You Being Served?" fantastic comedy. So much detail-Right down to the hair-LOL! I haven't seen the others, though. Will check them out on Amazon. Thanks again! :)
