Favorite places in the UK

I've asked this once before awhile back, but now that I'm actually living in England until May...

For those who live in or have traveled to the UK, what are your favorite places to visit?

I went to London a few years ago and we did took as much in as we could in a few days (Big Ben, London eye, St. Paul's Cathedral, insert other touristy spots...), but I'm thinking more about things outside London that may not be so well known. Maybe your favorite castle or beach? I've spent a TON of time in Kent, so I've really experienced the countryside... complete with getting trapped in mud in the middle of no where and needing to call someone to pull us out. I've been to Whitstable, Canterbury, Dover, stopped in London several times and am living in Bristol 75% of the time (25% in a small village in Kent). I still plan to visit Bath, Stonehenge, Brighton, and travel a bit through Wales soon, but I really don't know what else there is to see.

We often spend time roaming around randomly, not really getting anywhere or seeing much, so I'd like to have some real destinations. I would very much like to find some good places to shop for affordable antiques, discover more cute shops hidden in tiny villages, find some good restaurants/bakeries/cafes and just really get to see more of this country. So please feel free to share all of your favorites that can't be found in travel books! I'll mostly be traveling in the south of England/Wales, but I'm open to hearing about the rest of the UK as well!
