Phelps and Table top.
So Craig and I have already hiked 13 high peaks! It has been such an amazing experience :). After Colvin and Blake we hiked phelps and table top with Tash, Dani, Josh, Jake, and Renata. It was crazy waking up with everyone at 4:30 in the morning! We were so cranky! We left in two separate cars and arrived at the ADK loj at around 7:45. We went inside the info center, got all our stuff together, and then Craig couldn't find his keys! At the end of a retrospectively funny search Dani found the keys in my backpack :P. 8:30? We were on our way. The trail was familiar since we had taken this way to Marcy. We passed the dam with great views, I think of Colden and maybe T.R? We were making good time and hanging with everyone. I remember josh and jake tagging last L'ing when we reached marcy dam. We continued up phelps brook and went left at the trail to Phelps, 1 mi. It was they're first peak and we were making good time. The acent was steep and it was a long trip up the mountain. We arrived at the peak at 12:45. Craig played the 11 :)!!!! We ate lunch, Dani brought fried chicken and potatoes :). We headed back down to the trail at around 1:30. We decided to do table top Mt. It was .5 miles. We were still making ok time. The way up to table top was difficult, the herd path was narrow and our group managed to get split up. In the lead were renata and jake, then craig and I, Tash and Dani, and Josh was last. I failed to mention that he had decided to go on this hike in his combat boots. It was probably 3 or 3:30 so we couldn't stay long. We L'd and took to the trail. Dani ran to the front, Jake and Renata followed. I was with them but then waited for Tash. She stayed with me but I didn't see Craig so I decided to wait to meet up with him, hes usually much faster than me on decent. Tash went ahead and I waited for a while. I could see Craig's white shirt in the distance and he was with Josh. We slowly walked back, our group didn't wait. We stopped at the dam for like 30 minutes and stretched, and continued to the car arriving at 6:30. They were there. It was lame that they didn't wait for Josh and us. 11 and 12! <3
