It's been a blast, this last week. Brother rolled into town for Pitchfork; I got to go to Sunday and see Big Boi and Major Lazer; I got new glasses; we rode our bikes to Steak'n'Shake; SPACE PROM became SPACE REFUGEES PARTY.
So, a torrential downpour of rain flooded the real Space Prom venue, forcing a move to a much smaller venue. The guest list was pared down substantially (yet there were still tons of folks out of costume! way to ruin the spirit!) and we only got one keg. Still, fun times were had by all. Not visible in this picture, Dylan downloaded a sonic screwdriver app to his phone, to pull off "Voyage of the Damned" David Tennant Doctor. I dressed up as Space Channel 5 reporter Ulala for a swinging report show. Expect to see this costume make a comeback for Halloween.
For the first time ever, I couldn't get into a Sunday showing of Too Much Light. A school group booked out half the show! LAME! So, I owe Dylan another trip to Chicago and an actual visit to the Neo-Futurarium. I felt especially lame because we were also to meet up with the friend of an internet friend at the show; so we all went out for ice cream instead.
I need to buy printer paper.
Today, we're going to go eat steak. I love steak. Then maybe Science and Industry? We love Science AND Industry.
