Finally. November is OVER! I detest this month. Things are so dreay and ugly looking. No leaves and no snow and too much gray clouds and rain. It's depressing. But the last few days of November, I adore!
Black Friday:
Did the 2nd annual Black Friday shopping trip this past weekend with Andrea. What a ball! We shopped for 12hr solid between the outlets in Kittery and some stores in Portland. Then had a nap, ate delicious Olive Garden (WHY do we not have one here!?!?) and shopped some more. I got at least 95% of my Christmas shopping done in that span of time so totally worth it. For once, being used to staying up working all night has paid off! And, I managed to get some awesome toys for the kiddos at great prices. They are going to flip! One battle scar though...a wicked paper cut from a cardboard box of Madison's dollhouse but totally worth it!
Christmas:
It's my year to work Christmas this year, so I'm doing nights on Christmas eve and Christmas day. Not too bad, but it kinda sucks in a way too. But, if I have to work these are pretty good shifts to work AND I don't have to cook a turkey dinner :) Decorating is starting over here too...I really wish I could go all out since I have all this extra space now (first Christmas in this house) so I'm hoping things don't look too bare. I fully intend to stock up after Christmas on some stuff so next year will be better. Christmas cards are addressed and ready to go as soon as I stick a picture in them...and the picture is getting done on Thursday. Baking goodies will start next week and so will wrapping gifts. I think we'll get our tree next week too and get that up :) Can't wait!
