It's been a little while since I've last updated...not a whole lot has been happening in our world but quiet and routine are a nice change.
Madison has mastered the skills of putting her shoes on. My total girly girl is a shoe-a-holic already! She wears shoes 24/7 and often changes pairs several times a day. She'll wear her yellow crocs, try on Cole's sandals or his crocs, my crocs, slippers...whatever she can get on her little feet and if she can't, she'll bring them to whoever she can find to help her put them on then prance around doing high steps so she can see the shoes on her feet. I've also developed 2 new loves in the world of baby gear - babylegs and
these hairbows! OMG they are to DIE for! And totally made from ribbon! This WAHM is amazing! I'm totally hooked and waiting on the pumpkin, spider and something fall-ish to arrive. Can't wait!
Cole asks me everyday if he is big enough to go to school yet. It's so sad. His little face just falls whenever I tell him he's not quite big enough yet. Making me rethink my decision to not put him into preschool this year. Next year for SURE he'll go. I should start trying to do things with him at home. He's really showing interest and I should be taking advantage of that. Perhaps I'll look for some activity books we can do together. He's back in swimming and doing really well though he seems a little more nervous than he was last time. I have a feeling he'll be back in level 1 again come October but that's ok. Better to have him in a better comfort level than to push him through I guess.
Jeff took the kids to his first solo birthday party. I was going to get up and go after working nights but I hurt my shoulder last night and was feeling rather crappy sleep-wise so I decided to stay home. I hope they are having fun...it was a Pony Party bday party where they bring a petting zoo to your home. Pretty cool! I told him to take lots of pictures :)
I'm starting to learn how to knit (one more thing to cross off my bucket list) and so far, so good. Kelly's given me one lesson and I'm working on what I've learned now. I've got a long way to go, but I'm really enjoying it!
We had a Mom's Night Out on Friday...and MUCH needed one at that. Haven't been able to just hang out with the girls like that in a while. We went to East Side Marios and although the service was total shit, the food and the company made up for it. I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon...definitely not until they get fairly well established anyway.
