Hoping this isn't going to be a problem...

So my friend Lindsay called today to tell me that her friend, who works in this pub, saw my babysitter there gambling (which I could care less about) while Cole and Americus were alone in her car (which I DO care about). I'm a little disturbed about this. I trust her. I like her. Cole adores her. I'm hoping this was a one time thing and maybe she genuinely thinks that leaving them for like 15 minutes is an ok thing. Either way, I have to talk to her about it.
I don't care that she gambles. That's her business. I don't care that she takes Cole places. She has his carseat and she's not confined to her house. I wouldn't even care if she brought the kids there and stuck him in his stroller and he sat there munching cookies while she played on the VLTs. I don't care. What I *do* care about is paying someone to watch my child and have them leave him alone in a parking lot in the car.
So Monday, I'm going to ask her about it. I won't mention where she was seen and I won't mention what she was seen doing because I don't want it to come off like I'm accusing her of anything...because I'm not. I'll just ask her flat out if it happened and tell her that I don't care that she brings him places but to please not leave him in her car alone. I also need to make it VERY clear that we do NOT have people "watching" her...because we don't. We just *happen* to know someone who knows someone who works there and thought enough to pass it on what she saw.
*sigh*
Jeff just wants to stop bringing him to her all together. Me, I don't want to do that because other than this incident, she's great. Cole ADORES her and I like her too. She's cheap and flexible and genuinely cares about my son.
